cutting eye teeth...

my son was sick all last week from food poisoning from the tanted tomatoes and now almost a week and a half later he's still snotty. I think he's cutting his eye teeth too. he has a low grade fever, he's so freaking whinny and he sneezes and cries [i think bc his ears hurt or his nose from all the sneezing and runniness] he's had NO other problems with any of his other teeth coming in until now. i know those teeth are the worst too. what all symptoms did your baby have and what did you do to help them? btw he's 18 months

  • Emi (14 mo) is getting her eyeteeth also. she had a mild cold and extended runny nose. She gets a temperature occasionally. Chewing on anything seems to help. She likes her toothbrush, little people, or you could try a cold (from freezer or just tap) wash cloth. We have used teething tabs (hyland's) and tylenol for the teeth with some success.

  • If He pulls at his ears that is a possible sign of a ear infection. Wouldnt be surprised with all the drainage. If it doesnt go away in a day or two have him checked out again also to help with the discomfort of his teeth giving him pieces of frozen fruit and frozen bagels helped my daughter or even popsicles they help with the fever too by keeping them hydrated.
