  • I gather you mean everyone who needs help, not the overall population.

I'm not religious, but I know people who claim praying helped them thru bad times. I'd just say, try one and if it doesn't work, try the other.

  • depends on their state of mind i guess. not to sound negative, but there were times that I prayed and prayed and it just seemed like a let down. I feel for me when I talk about things it helps so much more. it's just hard for me to feel like prayer works anymore. I guess I have the "why pray when nothing happens" outlook.

  • counseling for what?? Depends on the issue. I don't think that prayer should EVER take the place of professional counseling.

  • It depends on the situation (with the counseling idea). But, I am not going to discount prayer/ positive thoughts.

  • To some prayer isn't enough (or even an option), so if they need support, then counseling would definitely be best for them. Definitely do not feel as though "everyone" needs counseling though.

  • I think counseling and prayer go hand in hand. I don't think it should be either or. Just IMO.

  • No, I don't think everyone needs counseling. But I think prayer is always a good option, whether you need counseling or not

  • I think EVERYONE, yes everyone, should have some sort of therapy. We all have issues that if we faced and handled would make us all better people. Face it, we all have baggage and therapy really does help sort that out!

  • I should add prayer is not an option for some, as far as counseling goes what daylily888 says.

  • Ya know, realistically counseling would be highly recommended for everyone. Have you been out in the real world these days?! LOL! Prayers are at your own discretion.
