1 Bump

Can the stickers in the grass do this to your hands?

 ysterday I fell and my hand landed on a sticker bush in the grass....the welts are really sore to....lol just wondering if they can do that or I came down with something....lol

  • yes it has something to do with a stinging nettle the coating on the sticker causing redness and pain

  • Yup sure can, like pp said stinging nettle. I have bushes on the side of my house that attack you with huge thorns and after you pull them out you get red welts like that.

    I got into the nettles one time and I had to use ice to stop the sting.

    I don't know if baking soda past would help or not.
    Like you make for a bee sting.

  • Oh yes, without a doubt. Lived in W. TX for many years and those little grass burrs could leave nasty little welts in their wake.
