what kind of cough medicine can I give my toddler?

  • i use homepathic hyland's cough med. it doesn't have all the chemicals and artificial crap in it.

  • depending the age if two or older any childs cough meds will do i give mine daytime cough meds i think its by pedia care or something like that..i dont belive in homeopathics for kids i just cant seem to find one that actually works...good luck

  • I think all the children cold medicines were recalled? I don't know. You can call your pediatrician. When my daughter gets a cough I let her sip Traditional Medicinals throat coat tea with honey in it. We don't use medicines, especially for her age

  • call your doc... she/he knows your child better then us... oh and yes most were recalled a child under 4 isnt supposed to have anythign

  • hyland works fine for mine. we very rarely use any medicine (tylenol only for really high fevers, and when the snot noses are really bad: hylands homeopathic sniffling/sneezing tablets) , so maybe that's why it's effective for us.

  • Since many over the counter medicines are not safe for babies and toddlers, I would check with your pharmacist or pediatricin before giving your child any medicine.
