How do I get candle wax out of a carpet?

We want to get it out before we move.

  • First pick out as much as you can. Use ice to make it hard if needed. Sometimes that makes it easier to remove. Get all the wax you can up first. Then get a paper bag and an iron . Place the bag over the wax..iron, on low, over the bag. The heat melts the wax, the wax absorbs onto the bag. If it is a large spot you may need several bags. This removes the wax...not necessarily the dyes.
