Ours is about $1300 for everything besides food and gas for the car. That's our mortgage, lights, cable, gym membership, phones, etc.

So that's $5625 a month before groceries, transportation (public, we don't have cars), and entertainment, etc.

Mortgage 295 ~ we frequently make double payments
Utilities ~ 100 or less for electric
Cable/internet ~ internet only ~ 83
Gas for cars ~ 25 - 35
Car ins ~ 47
Cell phones ~ 0 landline ~ 42
no credit card bills
no car notes

so 592 - 897 and our mortgage should be paid within the year. The home we are building is ours ~ we pay as we build. Once the mortgage is paid and we are off grid for the electric, the monthly total will be 200-225.

In addition, I grow most all of our vegetables, a good bit of our fruit, raise meat and dairy animals, so we really spend very little on food outside of some fruits and grains/flour. DH still hunts, and we catch the free allowance of seafood 3 times a year. I won't ever buy a new car again, and if 'they' force us to go to hybrids, I swear I will use a horse and buggy. I like my 'working' retirement a lot more than I ever liked working.
