  • Get a good Shampoo & Conditioner from your salon but change it up every so often. Also dry your hair really good with a towel first before blow drying & on Med. heat.(this will really help) Use a little serum on the hair and the ends as well. Last thing & a very important one is make sure your eating enough protein. This is what makes your hair & nails grow long & stronger. You can get it by Peanut butter, *Protein Mix*, Meats. etc. You have to give your body the things it needs to help things heal or grow if you know what I mean.

  • It sounds counterintuitive...but you have to get regular trims through the growing out stage. Just a tiny bit off the ends.

  • Even when trying to grow your hair long, you still need to go in on a regular basis for a trim.

Also, heat (i.e. blowdryer or curling iron) damages hair.
And invest in a decent moisturizing shampoo/conditioner (I use Dove)

  • Same as most answers above! the hair shaft splits, does not seem as long after ahwile...must get trims, so hair shaft stays in one piece...will grow longer.. faster! Salon products are better! Hair growth also varies from season to season.. example: faster in summer, slower in winter etc...
