nipple stimulation with another baby??

some places online suggest to induce labor ask a friend to let her newborn suck on your nipples to stimulate contractions. This just sounds not right to me. I would never let my baby suck on someone elses boob. What do you think??? Am I just the weird one here?

  • Nipple stimulation brings on VERY hard contractions. I wouldn't do it simple because I don't believe in inducing at all. When the baby is ready he/she will come.
But yes, for instance if I couldn't (for some reason) produce enough milk I would let someone else nurse my child, and I would do it for someone else as well.
I don't think ( in the case of BFing) it is strange but to induse labor, yes.

  • I wouldn't do that. Especially if you've never breastfed before, it's probably better to have your own baby show you what it's like the first time ;) ;)

  • I would breastfeed another womans child if she wanted me to. But I wouldn't do anything to induce labor unless it was absolutely necessary, then I would use nipple stimulation before pitocin, etc. Although, I think me or my DH could do it, I wouldn't need to borrow a baby lol

  • I agree with Tanya and Noahsmomma418, I wouldn't do it to induce labor. I have bf someone else's baby and would gladly do it again to help someone out. I also wouldn't mind if someone I trust wanted to share their milk with my child.

  • Sharing milk is weird sounding to me.
Sounds like something a goat would do.
