Do you have a Sheldon complex when it comes to incorrect grammar usage?

for those of you outside of the loop: Sheldon Cooper

haha i totally do... if someone uses (for example) "is" instead of "are" in a sentence where "are" should've been used, i absolutely HAVE to go back and read it in my mind as "are".

you?

  • I have the Sheldon Complex....I am constantly correcting my niece who is 6 and making her repeat the sentence back to me grammatically correct. My 4 yo doesn't have to be corrected that often and that is b/c she has been corrected since she started talking and my niece hasn't. I so want to correct people in public. They have NO idea how ignorant they sound. I have a feeling that in the future my niece will be correcting my sister in the way that I correct her. LOL

  • I also have a Sheldon complex when it comes to my spot on the sofa.--

and ironically, my spot is in the same spot as his! (is yours???)

LOL technically yes but the layout of the room is different.  I'm in the cross breeze of the hallway door and the patio door with the fireplace and TV directly ahead of me and the kitchen is behind me.

  • Just thought I'd throw this in, this is MY Sheldon! Funny thing is, he's kinda obnoxious like his namesake, and usually has us all wishing he'd shut up. LOL. So, I definetly named him after the right person!
