  • Yes and yes, but my son is 9. So not sure about the little ones. I've never seen a side effect other than sometimes it makes me tired the next day.

  • I've taken it yes. I've never given it to my son but many nights I've fantasized about it.

  • I'm told that it is safe for kids and is all natural and helps them develop a normal sleep pattern. Just wondering if there would be any side effect....I'm assuming not since its natural...?

  • I took it years ago. It was when we were doing a lot of traveling with heavy changes in time. I don't really remember if it helped. It was before kids so it was likely that I just guzzled coffee when I was tired.

  • I'm not aware of any place that sells melatonin in kid's doses.

  • I've used it for both of us (me and my granddaughter)

It really shouldn't be used for very young children as it can cause seizures. As with any sleep aid you shouldn't use it except sparingly but, for us, it's been a safe alternative to Benadryl and such

  • It's something our bodies should be producing on its own, but I would still discuss it with our pediatrician.

I've taken it in the past for a few weeks at a time to get back into a regular sleep pattern. It does help.

  • Walmart does. After a child is 6 months old he/she can take it. (this is a nurse that told me this so I'm assuming she knows..)
