Someone is in charge everywhere. ~ adnilm
Missed this earlier. On my farm, I am in charge. I decide what type of home to build ~ and build it. I decide what type of barn to build ~ and build it. I decide what animals will live in that barn. I decide what those animals will eat, what meds they need/don't need, and their ultimate fate (whether it is as a breeder or to hang out in freezer camp). I decide how big my garden is, what is planted in it, and when I harvest it whether it is canned, dehydrated, or frozen. I decide when to start and stop each day, and when I get a day off.
I've discovered that when I let others decide those things, I live in a crap house, I eat crud, I can barely afford that crud, and I never get a day off when I need it or want it ... and can only afford to go to some cruddy place if I leave at all. I like being in charge of my life and I don't need a boss, a gov't. nanny, or gov't "help". con't.
