Something for my hair that I can buy at Walmart ... ( for humidity and for SUPER dry / damaged hair)

I have very very thick hair that is / was naturally curly ... over the years I have straightened and curled it so many times, that now it just goes into wild, frizzy waves ( that stick out everywhere) .....

i realized I really need to start taking better care of it, because I use to have beautiful hair ( i would literally get complimetns on it everytime I went somewhere) .... to now just having crunchy - actually crunchy hair) ....

I already have an appointment to get all the dead ends cut off .... but I am making a trip to walmart tomorrow and want to buy something that I can use to help with the humidity - something CHEAP ...

I was also wondering about some product ( also cheap and at walmart) , or some home-made thing that can help it since it is so dry .....

  • Olive oil. Massage about 2 tbs in and let it sit for a good 30 min then wash... Works wonders.

  • i have been using aussie 3 minute miracle on my daughter's thick frizzy (healthy, but super frizzy) hair, and then a dab of leave in conditioner (another aussie product, drawing a blank on the name though). i used to use john frieda frizz eaze but cut my hair short.

  • I use Aussie "Moist" shampoo & conditioner on my daughters hair. It is naturally curly and is a little frizzy. I can tell the biggest difference on her hair. I also have wavy hair and is frizzy from straightening it. I use a serum I got at Sally's. It is oil based and wal-mart has several different brands of this type of product. They are usually called serum's or polisher etc. Put it in your hair wet before you blow dry and then again after it is dry.

  • The best thing you can buy is Olive Oil. It really does work just like But_Mommie said above there. I use it about once a month. It's cheap (sort of) and it lasts about a week. I usually apply mine to dry hair, cover and let sit for about twenty minutes. Do not rinse out yet. Just apply your shampoo and work into a lather. Rinse, rinse very well and then viola!!

  • I love AUSSIE DEEEEEEP conditioner -- fairly inexpensive and right at Wal-Mart! I have thick coarse hair and it works really really good! Best conditioner that I have found at such a great price, too! BONUS!!!
