Pregnancy exercise

Does anyone know of any beginner exercises that are great for pregnant women? I'm not coordinated enough for yoga lately, and it's way too hot outside to go walking. Help!

  • I don't know where you live, but some of the malls open early to allow people to go in and walk for exercise - it's cooler and safer for women walking alone. Also - Leslie Sansone makes Walk Away the Pounds dvds that might be ok - but of course you'd check w/your dr first. Her dvds are 4 basic moves - walking in place, front kicks, knee lifts and side steps. She has a variety of routines from 1 mile to 5. They are sold on-line and at Target and Walmart. You can also preview her stuff on the Collage Video web site. Like the previous poster said, I'm sure swimming would be good too - non-impact and cooler that strolling around your neighborhood!

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!
