What can I make for dinner with these ingredients in my house?

1 lb of cooked ground turkey
2 cups of cooked rice

In the pantry I have: tomato sauce, tomato paste, corn, green beans, 5lb bag of taters, chickpeas, veggie soup, mac and cheese, elbow noodles, milk, butter, cheese, refried beans, cornbread mix, onions, bell peppers and greek yogurt?

I need to buy groceries tomorrow and I can't for the life of me come up with something to make using these items. I really want to try to use the leftover ground turkey and rice.

  • I would add the turkey to the veggie soup and serve over the rice. Maybe add in the corn/green beans/onions/bell peppers.

If you have flour you could make a white sauce.....not sure how that would help.

What kind of potatoes? If they're the baby red potatoes cut them in half, slice them into 1/8 inch thick slices, and fry them up in some veggie oil. I season with seasoning salt and serve with sour cream. My family calls them pan fries.

  • Saute some onions and diced bell pepper in some butter and add that mixture to the rice and turkey along with some tomato sauce and/or paste. Put it in a casserole dish and top with some cheese. Put it in the oven just to heat it through. Heat the green beans and if you want bread, make the cornbread mix. Walah--Dinner!
