Using common sense....

Those of you who believe that the gay lifestyle is wrong and not ok for religious reasons, and pass this on to your children from an early age..what do you think would happen to a child of yours that reaches puberty and realizes they are what they have been told is bad or not ok? How do you think this youth would feel?

  • Eilish, the love for your sister or for a friend is different kind of love, sex is very much a part of the other kind of love, the kind that you want to spend your life with.
Your answers led me to doubt whether you have ever found pleasure in sex, or if you have missed out on a meaningful lifetime relationship with someone you are attracted to. (and by that I don't necessarily mean sex)

Right! Which in context is moral, and out of context is immoral.

And for the picture of the elderly couple having a same sex marriage - if their is no sexual attraction, then it's not a homosexual relationship. In which case I object on the grounds that marriage is not simply for BFFs.

  • so to verify- if someone identifies as homosexual but doesn't have sex, they aren't homosexual
    but
if someone is sexually active with a same sex partner they are immoral
    and
marriage isn't simply for BFF's- but for sex?

my elderly grandma will love hearing how her late in life second marriage (where they were physically incapable of having sex) was objectionable

No. The act of homosexual SEX is what is sinful and what requires restraint on the part of the Christian who believes they are gay.

    Yes.

"marriage isn't simply for BFF's- but for sex? "

Marriage is a relationship designed with sex in mind. Sex is not just about procreation (although that is part of it) but also has spiritual elements to it. God designed sex to be enjoyed within the marriage relationship. Marriage is not simply a BFF pact. They have necklace puzzles for that.

  • My children know that my love for them is unconditional. With that in mind, they also know that I don't believe that being gay is wrong. They do know that i believe sex outside of a marriage that allows for procreation , is a sin. I would always love my children, that would never even be an issue. I do not have to condone their decisions

  • @ adnilm I was wondering as a Christian how you don't think being gay is wrong? Because It is wrong we are to love people yes, I would never treat anyone different then I would a friend who were gay. I have many close friends growing up who were indeed gay. But I know as a Christian the bible says between a man and woman and that's how marriage played a big roll. Gay is a sin. But as for loving our children unconditional of course always! But for agreeing with situations or decisions we as parents teach them from right and wrong. I do not believe anyone is born gay. Some are more masculine / feminiem but never born to be Gay,

When were you appointed validator of all romantic relationships? Do you only have authority over the US, or the entire world? And does this mean that all elderly hetero couples who meet in retirement communities and one or both is too fraglie to have sex are also not hetero relationships?
