Fever of 104.9 during first trimester in pregnancy?

I was sick the last two days with fevers over 104 close to 105, I 'm 9weeks pregnant a had been in & out of the ER & informed them I was pregnant. Fever was caused by an infected cavity. Today I noticed some spotting should I call my obgyn or just wait until my appointment on the 25th?

  • I would call your OB now to be honest only cause they told me that a fever in pregnancy can be dangerous. Better safe than sorry

  • I had called them a few times when I was in & out of the ER they didn't seem all that worried ... but now that I saw some spotting I'm starting to get worried

  • Is your fever controlled now?

If they are unaware of the spotting then, yes, give them a call if for no other reason than they can chart it. Are you cramping?

  • Call your ob/gyn. A high fever like that could cause a miscarriage. Don't wait.
