  • You can give INFANT gas drops to a baby but be sure to follow the dosing. Most have an amount for birth until 2years. They work great. They work even better if you give them just before nursing or bottle feeding.

  • We tried Gripe Water for the first time a few nights a go. It is Fennel and Ginger and some sweeteners. (no chemicals)
It took less than a minute for the baby to settle down after about 15 mins of scary "What's wrooong with him" fussing.
It has, on the label, infant dosing instructions.

We also use a heating pad first to help relieve gas pains.

  • If it says give 0.3ml to infants under 2, that is what you give. That is what it says on the website. You stated in your original question that it said 2 and up on the bottle.

I gave both of my children Mylicon gas drops. They had no problems. I will say that I didn't have much success with the generic. My sister said the same thing. For some reason, the Brand name worked better for our children.

  • I used them since my daughter was born I did ask my ped doctor, he said it was fine. Call your ped doc and ask him or her as well. Look on the back of the bottle it will say infants under 2, weight under 24 pounds 0.3ml. I have them in the house and this is the information I just got off the bottle. They can be given after meals or at bed time or as directed by a doctor. Please ask you ped doc.
