I need a new couch... ??

One that can withstand small children and clumsy adults. I'm just not sure where I should start looking. Is there any material other than leather that can be easily cleaned?

  • i would recommend thrift stores.
we got ours for $60. previous owner little old lady. it looks brand new.

the problem with micro suede it that the texture can be rubbed off. leather cracks and fades (sweat stains also)
ours is plain plaid fabric and will be replaced in a few years, but at less than $100 who cares?

  • I have microsuede. It cleans very easily using Krud Kutter - available just about anywhere for less than $5.

  • We have a U-shaped sectional by Bauhaus that is made of microsuede. It's strong and easy to clean.

  • I hate leather, but you might want to go that route, since it is easy to clean with leather cleaner, as opposed to upholstered furniture.
