  • Well you need a curriculum thats approved by your state, books to go with that, paper, pencils, lesson plans, calculators, and basically all the same things you need when they go to normal school/

  • You need to go to your states' website and see what is required of homeschoolers. Contact your local school for supplies if you need to. Most of us who homeschool have researched curriculum and you will need to do that as well. You must decide for yourself what type is right for your child.
There is not a set list of needed things.

  • I agree with the above poster. The guidelines vary from state to state, so check out what's required. But you can almost guarantee that the basic supplies (pencils or pens, paper, crayons for younger grades, a calculator for older grades, etc.) will be a necessity. Good luck!

  • Call the school district. They have a department just for homeschoolers and they will have all the information you need.

  • No one can give you a list. It depends on what style of schooling you plan to do, the age of your children and what your curriculum is. It varies by family.

  • School supplies: Scissors, pencils, erasers, crayons, paint, rice, sand, magnets, construction paper, pipe cleaners, glitter glue, clear tape, masking tape, duct tape, sharpies...
When you homeschool, you use whatever you want. Buy it in September because it is cheaper, but we use whatever, even steal daddies pencils from work. :)

  • Everyone homeschools differently so it depends on how old your child is, what you are planning to do for the year, and how you are planning on homeschooling. If you are doing traditional "school at home" then buy the same things that a child would buy if they were going to school. If you are using a boxed curriculum, your curriculum supplier should be able to give you a supply list. If you are planning on a more relaxed approach, buy the basics like pencils, paper, crayons, etc. and buy the rest as you need them. If you want a sample list, here's a link to one possible homeschooling supply list:
