  • No degree is needed however, a degree in business, marketing, or entrepreneurship would be helpful.

  • need and required are two different things. If you have the money you can own a cafe, no degree required. I would suggest buisiness courses and ood handling courses. You would not necessarily need a degree in either.

  • No degree required. You just need the experience to run a store, manage shipments, count inventory daily, have your Food Handlers (make your employees Food Handler certified as well), know store ops procedures, teamwork skills and employees who respect you.

    Customer service skills is a must!

  • If you are starting a business you don't need a degree. It's your business. I would suggest leaning a little about business in general. And maybe take a couple of cooking classes.

  • I owned a cafe and no degree is necessary. Keep in mind, though, that 95% of new businesses fail in the first five years. ASSUME you will lose money for AT LEAST three years in the restaurant business.
