  • Get adequate rest, drink plenty of water, wash your hands regularly, take a multivitamin and eat a healthy, balanced diet.

  • Exercise, water, nutritious food including freshly squeezed oranges, enough rest. Stay away from crowds. Don't use phones after other people (outside of the home.) Keep your hands away from your face. Wash hands a lot. Use very warm water and soap, rub them together while singing happy birthday to yourself slowly twice- this will be 20 seconds, I am now hearing that 30 seconds is even better, so that would be three verses. Be sure to scrub between your fingers, under your fingernails. the fronts and backs of your hands and even the wrists. Then dry on a paper towel. If in a public bathroom, get your towel and tuck it under your arm before washing. Dry your hands and then turn off the faucet with your towel, open the bathroom door with the towel and then toss the towel.

  • Yes, keep your hands clean.

Also, clean your work surfaces with a disinfectant before cooking, even if they are sparkling. About 80% of stomach ills are food borne. When something "goes around" re double your hand washing efforts. Wash your hands before you eat everything.
Eat your fruits and veggies and drink lots of water. Take a multi v as well. The whole food kind are the best because they are easily absorbed by the body.

Echinacea is good too. So is vitamin C.

  • Enough sleep, enough warmth ("catching a chill, or catching a cold" are pretty accurate expressions !), and enough nourishing food. Those are the three pillars of health. If you're low on one, then make sure you're taking extra care of the other two. For instance if you're stressed or have a busy schedule, then you'll be low on getting enough rest, so make sure you keep a hat on when it's cold & you don't get chilled, and make sure you're getting nourishing food, especially produce. Laughter and general cheerfulness seem to help a lot, too ! good luck !

  • The best thing to do is to wash your hands with soap and water ALOT. That comes from a nurse that I know.

  • Echinacia can help boost the immune system. Garlic helps your body to fight bad bacteria.

I take garlic pills but some people will just eat a clove of garlic a day (3 if they are sick). The ecchinacia can be bought as a spray which is what I used to use. It tastes nasty but is good for you.
