Modular home help!!

In short, very short....my husband and I are considering buying a modular home in a great area, but we are wondering if renovating it is anything like redoing a "normal" home.

Example. Kitchens too small. Want to expand. It has a foundation. Maybe add another bedroom for kid #3.

Does anyone have any advice or good links? My hubby is a handy man and can do anything....except hes not sure on this one. HELP!?!?!?

  • I would also contact a local contractor and ask them some questions.

  • You do have to sometimes use specific materials ordered from a manufactures dealer, but it is possible. We too are looking at one, though we would probably trade it in before trying to remodel it.
