Something is eating the leaves of my gardenia

Do you think ladybugs will help? I don't know what else to do. whatever it is (haven't seen the offenders) chews trails through the leaves.

  • Try giving it a bath. Mix a small amount of original Dawn dish detergent with water in a spray bottle. Spray and wipe each of the leaves. Also try sprinkling Diatomaceous Earth around the plant. It's organic and will kill most bugs.

  • Weevils? They seem to have a tendency of gnawing on plants that way.
