Geithner names ex-lobbyist as Treasury chief of staff
WASHINGTON — Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner picked a former Goldman Sachs lobbyist as a top aide Tuesday, the same day he announced rules aimed at reducing the role of lobbyists in agency decisions.
Mark Patterson will serve as Geithner's chief of staff at Treasury, which oversees the government's $700 billion financial bailout program.
Goldman Sachs received $10 billion of that money.
So, how does Obama define Lobbyist?

Seems to me that Obama has failed to realize that the INTERNET is going to be his nemesis! EVERYTHING that man says or does is going to be recorded and will travel around the world at warp speed and be "bookmarked" for future reference, and to "call him out" on his lies! LOL
Even the former Clinton News Network and Cambell Brown (who I loathe) are quickly realizing there is a "middle ground market" for reporting on our new leader! Wonder if he'll try and shut them down as well?!? LOL!

Anon:I believe Obama was trying to differentiate between lobbyists who engaged in less than reputable activities and those that didn't.
That's the point. Everyone has their own opinions of "I believes", because Obama made no clear distinction and no defined set of rules that he intended to lead nor follow.

He can say whatever he wants, because people will interpret his words to make him out to be the Golden President they want. Obama voters and the MSM are fooled by his articulation and oblivious to his lack of specifics.
