Do you care what happens to your body after you're dead? How your funeral will be?

Okay, this is just me, but I really don't have any particular wishes. Like "I want to be buried in THIS spot, I want THOSE flowers on my coffin" and so forth. I don't even care whether I get cremated or not. I want to one's left behind to do what they think is right for them, what they like. AND what can be payed for at that time. Funerals are a big business and I don't intend adding financial burden. Anyway being dead there's no benefit for me. If I can manage to leave some money behind I'd rather have my dd spend it on something useful for herself.

  • I try to live as heathy as possible so whoever gets my organs can benefit greatly from them. Plus I have universal blood type, I hope to cover many lives.

  • I want my family to be able to say goodbye. I want a full funeral and to be placed in a cemetery where my family can come back and say hey. I have had a number of family members state that they did not want a funeral and when they died, we didn't. There was no closure, there was no commiserating, there was no goodbyes. It was weird and it was surreal. I want the people who love me to comfort each other and take time out of their schedules to memorialize and say goodbye to me

  • I'm kinda unusual in the sense that I've had my funeral planned since I was 25, when my DH died. I already have a plot in the cemetery, with headstone. After that I'm not too picky. I have things I would like to have, but nothing that I expect my family to do after I'm gone. Wishes... a pale pearly pink casket with white roses. Anything they choose to do beyond that is on them and their wants.

  • I don't really care what happens to my body. What made my body *me* is no longer there, it's only the shell that's left. My family can bury it, cremate it, throw it over a bridge for all I care. I would, however, like for my family and friends to gather and remember me and support each other in saying goodbye. It doesn't have to be anything as formal as a funeral, but I would like it to have some dignity with plenty of laughter.

  • Burn my body, sure my family could hold a memorial service but I rather they save that money spent on that to take a mini vacation and spread my ashes over a cliff over looking the ocean.

  • I don't care about the funeral. I would rather they have a party celebrating my life and theirs. I want to be cremated.

  • Not really. I want to donate any organs that are needed, but beyond that, and thinking burial is wasteful, no.

  • since I like to bbq I want to be cremated and they spread my ashes in the fire pit... hehehe j/k j/k

    I really haven't thought about that much to be honest. That is a topic that I don't like to go over. I probably won't have many ppl at it since I am the youngest and will maybe be the only left. No one likes me anyway, so no one will show up..hahaha I think I would just do a graveside service or something... but who knows. that thought kinda creeps me out...
