  • Abortion is what's called a wedge issue. Both sides make a big fuss about it during election years to get people out to vote then they ignore it till the next election comes up. It is something that is very emotional with strong feelings on both sides of the argument so it's good for riling up the base. Bush had a Rep House and Senate and conservative USSC for 6 years and did nothing.

  • I think that a lot of people think that the Pres is soo powerful but he has to get through Congress and Senate on everything...pretty much the only thing he can do is not very much at all.

  • Okay, look, anyone can stand there and say they are for or against Abortion. But let something bad happen to you or them and see how frickin fast they change their opinions.. I think you should stop sprouting off until you walk a mile in everyone's shoes. Rape is a whole new ballgame that maybe you should consider before jumping on others.

  • I don't get it - if Obama can do an executive order to free terrorists to their home countries, why can't a pres do an executive order to free innocent babies from death?

  • Doncha know, it's a the Democratic congress's fault. Sure they were only "in charge" for 2 years and everything they tried to pass Bush vetod.

  • The Supreme Court is actually the SUPREME law of the land. Didn't anyone have civics class in high school? Abortion is an issue that has been heard by the Supreme Court, and they have guaranteed the right of every woman to have a choice...the odds of it ever getting overturned are very slim. GET USED TO IT!
