  • I personally couldn't do it, its just too personal of a thing. But if I had extra breastmilk I would donate it to another child who needed it.

My mom did this when I was younger actually, my little sister and a cousin of mine were born just a few months apart. When my cousin was born my mom was still breastfeeding and had an Overabundance of breast milk. my aunt had a really hard time getting the hang of breast feeding (she was in her late 30s when she finally got pregnant and this was her first child) and wasn't producing enough right at first. So yes my mom did help out with pumping and giving her milk and also breastfed my cousin a couple times. This seems so weird nowadays but long ago this was probably a normal thing, they had milk-mothers for orphans or royalty all the time... :-/

  • I did my bff and i had our kids 1 week apart and i was babysitting for her and she forgot her diaper bag. She laughed and said ahh just give her your boob and thats exactly what we did ( she lived a hour away).. She knew i was disease free.

  • I would if necessary. But it's not something I would want to do without a good reason. I feel that it would be intruding on something that should be special between a child and its mother.

  • Yes, it's food and if there was a starving child I would totally whip it out. No different than would I give a bottle to a starving child.
But just because there was a hungry baby- nope. Not my kid, not my job.
