  • having metal coils screwed into your fallopian tubes

They are not SCREWED in... the coil is placed in with a guide... then the tube scars over it and creates a blockage of the tube. No cutting or harming of the tissue in any way. It's so gentle it's done in the OB's office under some Valium. It's not that bad... I am SO glad I did this over a tubal!!!

  • I did... no real side effects. I had some pain/discomfort right when the coils were placed, and it made me very nauseous. But, I went home and took a 3 hr nap and work up like nothing happened. It's been great ever since!!

  • talk to kitschy from the newcomer group (not sure what other groups she is in, and that is not her whole screen name but it is enough to know who is meant). i would never, ever even think about it - having metal coils screwed into your fallopian tubes? not for me!
