Teeth whitening question.

Do the teeth whitening products you can buy at the store really work? I hate my teeth, I have always had not quite white teeth since I was little and I can't stand it. I want them to be whiter.

  • there is a pre rinse whitener you can purchase, it's not too bad.
then the whitening tooth pastes (mentadent is really good) - paste not gel is better
    and a new toothbrush

i would have you go that route first before trying the kits. (i smoke- alot- and unless you're a dentist you really cant tell)

  • I think they work but they make my teeth hurt; like they get oversensitive.

I've been brushing mine with baking soda and then rinsing them with peroxide, like mouthwash, and it's made a big difference

  • Whitening pastes don't really do much for me, I have used them since I was young.

  • nono, lol like colgate (paste) as opposed to aim (gel)

but that mentadent actually removed tar stains from the back side of my teeth

  • Crest White Strips work well, but they don't go behind the teeth very well. If you want more of a professional teeth whitening, you should make an appointment with your dentist. The trays start at $350, the refills of the teeth whitening product is about $55.
