  • Also, any time the Catholic church has anything to do with children, mentions them, alludes to them, thinks about them in any which way - I automatically get suspicious.

  • Clearly it's simply more evidence of the battle over over-reaching women's youth organization forays into church matters.....because obviously the Catholic church can do no wrong and has every right to stand up for their beliefs especially when those beliefs entail imposing their beliefs on everyone else.

  • It's none of their business. Just the church over-reaching and sticking their nose where it doesn't belong.

  • Well investigating the Boy Scouts would have looked really suspicious.

  • They have the right to investigate the people they give their financial donations to, just as I would want when selecting my own charities.

So I DO give to Girl Scouts and NOT to the Catholic church...the choices that apply to them apply to us and it should be that way. We should all be able to choose to donate only to causes that support our beliefs.

  • i read about this earlier and laughed. they're gonna investigate the Girl Scouts but let the pervert pedophile priests that committed crimes against children roam free? its hard to take anything they do seriously anymore the hypocrisy is just so thick. i hope the Bishops realize the non-Catholics of the world see their actions and are forced to come to conclusions that do not look favorably for the Catholic Church.

  • Since they are sponsoring them *you did read the article, didn't you?*, they have just as much of a right as anyone else has to decide whether or not the group/s they are handing money to are groups that they want to continue handing money to.

  • Such a pious group of men . . .

  • Let them keep their money then. The CC does not run the Girl Scouts. Talk about trying to impose their beliefs on others.
