  • if you are shaking a baby hard enough to damage their brain they probably aren't lauging. Yes, its still considered SBS.

  • I am confused....

Shaking, to where SBS occurs is when the head snaps back and forth causing the brain to bounce against the front and back of the skull.

You shouldn't even play shake an infant.. I am assuming the baby is a bit older because they are laughing and find it amusing. If you are shaking them hard enough to cause whiplash then you are probably not playing right?!

  • What if your child has sezures from his DTaP shots and nobody knows about it till it is too late. My son had them.. DR said no it was not from the shot.. but it was.. ONE man went to prison for his son dying cuz of him SHAKING his baby IT was not him it was from the DTaT Shot.. So many things can mess up a kid Depending on your car I am sure some with crappy car's that can mess up a kid!

  • Don't shake, AT ALL. Period. NO shaking! They are very delicate.
Even if they do laugh, still don't shake them!

  • Okay for everyone who is calling this mother names shouldnt comment at all.....she maybe a first time mother and she has questions dont dis her cuz of it !!!!!!! This isnt a place to dis anyone or judge anyone!!!! But now for the mother how is asking this question....if your shaking your baby out of anger and she laughs then yes but if your doing like jiggling or anything like that with caution of how your baby takes it you should be to a doctor about it and see what they say or a Wic lady to see what she thinks
