What to give a 3 year old for a cough?

My almost 3 year old son has had a cold for the past week and a half now and its settled in his chest. He doesn't have a runny nose or fever anymore, but his cough sounds pretty nasty. Is there anything safe I can give him...home remedy or over the counter? Thanks!

  • Delsym. It's what my pediatrician recommends. It works great. Also some Vaporub helps.
