Butter or Sugar cookies best

I made butter cause I was sure they were tastier, but now not so sure. They seem a little bland (i did put 1/2t too much salt oops). What do you think. I want to keep a permanent cookie cutter recipe now that I found.

  • I prefer sugar cookies...

    1/2 cup butter, softened
    1 cup brown sugar
    1/2 tsp pure vanilla extract
    1/2 tsp almond extract
    2-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
    1/4 tsp salt
    1/2 tsp baking soda
    2 TBSP milk

In a large bowl, stir together butter and brown sugar until smooth and creamy. Stir in extracts. In a separate bowl, combine the flour, salt, and baking soda; stir into creamed mixture. Mix in milk, stirring until a soft dough forms. Cover, and chill for 1 hour.

Preheat oven to 365 degrees F . On a floured surface, roll out dough to 1/4 inch thick. Cut into desired shapes using cookie cutters. Place cookies 2 inches apart on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake in a preheated oven for 6 to 8 minutes. Cool on wire racks.

    Hope you enjoy these.
