Dinner? Would you add something to this meal?

I'm doing hot dog pieces mixed in with baked beans and cornbread. Should I add a salad? Or would something else be better to add with these two items?

  • If your family will eat salad that would be good. Get some veggies in with the meal.

  • I think a salad would be good. That way it isn't over crowding the plate of the other stuff (which sounds super yummy right now) since you generally eat a salad on a separate plate or bowl

  • We're feeling the strain on our pocketbooks right now, so I would add nothing! Last night we had rice mixed with black beans- that's all. it was OK.
    Yours sounds yummy!

  • Salad for sure- for the fresh vegetables and a vegetable serving. People should eat 5-9 servings of fruit and vegetables every day. I'd serve a salad and another vegetable such as brocolli, or some other greens or orange vegetable. And also a fruit, applesauce is a comfortable food that would go with the comfort meal of beans and franks.
