thyroid disease???

is a missing period a symptom of a thyroid problem?

  • Yes it can, My thyroid has been both extremely high and extremely low and I've missed lots of periods. The longest I ever went without one was 6 months, and prior to having thyroid disease I was always regular. Now that my thyroid is regulated with synthroid everythings back to normal.

  • thats why my doctor told me i have an enlarged thyroid with goiters(SP) i havent missed one yet but its possible
