What a good bank/mortgage company to refinance a mobile home through?

I have a double wide that appraise around $35-40K but looking to finance 15K to pay the $10K loan through relatives and then the other $6K to remodel and pay off some medical bills. Our regular banks only finance permanant homes. Since we don't own the land it's a no go. Unsecured loans they no longer do. The credit unions do them but basically want us as a member for 1-2 years first.

Does anyone know a bank/mortgage company that is good? We have good credit score only downfall is DH took a new job after 14 years. It was an initial drop in pay but its more stable and healthier.

  • It is hard to do without owning the land,, mobile homes don't appreciate in value, they go down,, Do you live there now? I noticed you said re-finance,, so the best bet would be to talk to whoever holds your current mortgage.

  • I own it we paid cash for all but 10K. Our family lent it to us. I don't like owing family so I want to get a mortgage or loan on my own. Even with good credit seems like most won't do that high. We could do CC's but that is insane interest usually.
