The other day my mom and i were talking and realized how much we are alike... then i see my dh and how much he is like his father.

It's the age-old "nature vs. nurture" debate. My husb says I'm a lot like my Gma- which I take as a compliment! Lucky for him he's prepared & up to the task of my inherited orneriness! lol :p

You know the scene in the Wizard of Oz when the trees come alive and are throwing the apples? I am nothing like my mother, and if I ever become anything like my mother, I hope my husband leaves me and never lets my children near me again.

I am very much NOT like my parents. In ways I find that I am like them, I do everything I can to change that part of myself.

There isn't much comparison in DH and his parents...he is very quiet and antisocial...they are the most social and open people I know.

I think I'm a good mix between my parents. I've been able to avoid some of their not so nice stuff and keep a couple of the nicer stuff.

I am so much like my mom, but I noticed growing up that she and I were much more alike than she and my sister. And I'm okay with that. My mom is a great mom and a great person - everyone loves her and I hope I am like her!

I am trying hard not to be like my mom. I just think some of the things are genetic others are not and I am working on those. My sister is JUST like our father even w/o his influence in her life. Totally nature on her part.
