We have all blinds right now, and we take them down and wash them about every 3-4 months. In between we use a swifffer duster. When I had curtains I washed them about twice a year, and vacummed them every couple of weeks.

we dont have curtians, blinds only and they are dusted weekly

At least once a year, but the formal curtains have never been cleaned, that I know of.

i'm doing it right now. i try to wash them at least three to four times a year because of the dust (we live across the street from the train tracks)

Spring, and then the Fall. I wash them and then hang them up wet, it's so much easier, and they dry nice. (They're like Roman shades)
