Calling All Military Wives!!!

So, this woman is dating a guy who's in the military. They're trying to have a baby. He's supposed to be going to Afghanistan for a year. She's got herself thinking that because they're dating and if she's pregnant before he goes, the military will cover it. She also believes they'll send him back to have the baby with her.

She told me and a few other military wives that things have changed since our day -_-

What say you??

  • They will only cover her prenatal care and then cover the baby's pediatric care. At least this is what I believe. Why don't they get married before he goes?

  • I think they have to be married. My cousin got to come back from Afghanistan for three weeks when his baby was born.

  • Yeah number one his sgt wouldn't even talk to her. ( at least not in the corp) and she will have no medical unless they are married and he will get a two week leave during deployment. That poor girl has had the wool pulled over her eyes

  • I know they will cover prenatal care, because my friend got pregnant and they covered her prenatal care, but once she had the baby she was no longer covered, the baby is though, since the baby is a dependent. I don't know of anyone getting sent home from deployment unless there were medical concerns though, and only if married.
