  • I would call your ped. doctor he or she is the only one who can answer your question.

  • How often?
1-2 is fine, but it should be every 2 hours
Aim for 20-24 oz within 24 hours
Make sure you burp him often. if he feels fullness from gas,he won't drink enough

  • Yes, how often? Every hour or 2? fine. Every 3 hours? Not enough. Is the doctor happy with his weight gain?

  • by a month my now almost 2 month old was eating 2-3 ounces every 2-3 hours or so during the day and would go 4-5 hours at night. Very quickly though she went from the 3 oz to 4 oz and eats about every 3 hours during the day and is actually starting to sleep through the night as long as her last bottle is late enough. I agree make sure he is burped. What is his formula thickend with? That could be why he's not eating as much. Has he gained good weight since birth? My new one gained 2 lbs by a month old (though of course babies vary).
