My other question.. I guess

So if I am considered to be 7 weeks 5 days but the sac is measuring at 4 weeks 5 days. That is normal right? Since you are not pregnant from the first day of your last period..
I am really freaking out over what the dr told me, so this will help me more.

  • When was your last period? The exact date?

    And I know you had a period in May. Was it a regular period?

  • Okay, my last period was April 6th. I didn't have a normal period on May 1st. But I still bled. It was red, pink and brownish. Not a lot though.

  • Okay, so my answer in your other thread was based on the belief that you were 4 weeks pregnant, not seven. If you're seven weeks pregnant then, yes, your levels are low (I just wanted to clarify that here) Having said that, hCG levels shouldn't really be used to date your pregnancy because they are so variable.

    When was your pregnancy confirmed?

  • The 26th for positive urine and yesterday the ultrasound and the blood test. But the sac wouldn't be 7 weeks .. that's what my main thing is.

  • Nope, around 4 weeks, 6 days based on a 28 day cycle

  • I wouldn't worry. My DS showed he was 2 weeks behind schedule for most of my pregnancy.

    My HCG should be fine then right?

    My last period day i am considered 7 wk 5 days.
    sac measures 4 weeks 5 days.
    which to means sounds normal

  • Sounds perfectly normal to me and it also sounds like you have good levels. I'm not sure where your doctor is coming up with that assessment. It sounds like he/she is looking at 7 week levels, rather than gestational age levels (which is scary, when you think about it)

  • Ugh, i hate doctors! But mainly hate myself for letting her get to me like this. I mean, I should know these things... But, this was my first blood test with pregnancy. So, it makes sense. But still! Ugh. Thank you so much!!

  • Well, she said "miscarriage" which would scare anyone! I mean, you don't have any signs of impending MC, your levels are good and your dates are fine. I'm not sure why she even said that to you.
