Why are you on Answers?

A little bit of history: A family member goes on and on about this site, specifically Answers. She spends hours on here a day. She talks about most of you as though you are her friends. She laughs at the drama and the troll posts. She loves it here. She has never divulged her screen name as she says thats what makes this site fun.
I have been lurking for several weeks and recently started to participate. I'm hoping to eventually find what intrigues her about all of you. I almost have committed to memory all of your answers to my first couple of questions. I'm hesitant to jump in because I see lots of angry people, and according to one response this type of interaction could have been going on for years. Yes, I have been on other internet sites and I am aware of this kind of typical behind a computer behavior.

  • I love the Answers section because I love to give my "sofa" psychology advice. I love being silly and gettign "points" and ranking up. I love CM in general because of the friendships I have made with the moms on here.

  • I suspect you'll see much less "manufactured" drama over the next few days/weeks. Do not be hesitant to jump in at all.

    I will say that, contrary to what seems to be the popular belief, CM isn't really a warm fuzzy sort of place. If you want answers to questions, you'll get them. But! You'll likely get a diverse response and that, to me, is what makes CM fun.

    Plus, you'll find "friends" here that will hold your hand when you're sad, smack your hand when you're being obnoxious, and laugh with you when something tickles your funny bone.

  • i am on answers for several reasons: I like that these moms speak their mind and don't really sugar coat anything....I can rarely get that from very many family members that I have. I like the level ups and stuff, I love getting advice and seeing other people's point of view about things and well I just love talking in general and least but not last I had found a friend here that I talk to a lot in person...she is a wonderful lady and keeps me in check...she is one o those ladies that speaks her mind and doesn't care what other people think and she knows I like that about her even though sometimes I can get mad at her point of views :)

  • you may not be suitable for a place like Answers. no harm in that. some people aren't.
    also, i will point out, again, that just because it looks like some are on all the time, doesn't make it so. in this world of quick-internet, you could pop in/out frequently, for just a minute or two at a time..and if you are sitting here all day, keeping watch of who's on and when, it will look like someone (even you) is on all day long...or ''hours a day''.
