Update on the tonsils

they have to come out. the dr is surprised at how big they really are. they say she's going to be in and out, and she won't be spending any time in the hospital overnight. she goes in on the 21st. we have to be there at 9:40 and she goes under around 11:40 am.
sorry i'm a worried mamma here.
anyone else have this done?

  • if you have any questions or want more tips or just want to talk about it, feel free to message me. one of my girls was 2 years 9.5 months old when she had hers done (she had had tonsillitis 7 times in 4 months), and my other was days shy of her 4th birthday (she had sleep apnea because hers were huge - hubby and father in law, and my dad, all had the same surgery for the same problem within the last decade too).

  • how old? 2 of my kids have had theirs (and the adenoids) out - not a big deal really.

  • I've had it done to me because mine were enlarged. My daughter has the same problem. I don't blame you for worrying and she is going to be sore for a week or do. It's worse when you are an adult. Keep us updated and we can give you pointers on how to help make her recovery a little easier and to put your mind at ease.
