Would you let your 14 year old get her....

Tongue pierced? My little cousin who's 14 is getting hers done with permission from mom, I mean i could see it this was her first outrageous piercing for her age but its not! She got her belly done when she was 12 and nose which is not as bad done at 13, all with mom's ok....I'm not against piercings i have a few but the tongue seems inappropriate for a 14 year old, I know when i was in HS guys though "oh she's got a tongue ring you know what she's good at." (blow jobs)...

Not only that but she is already thinking about having kids, he has names and baby clothes picked out for them....Her mom is Ok with it says all girls go threw that phase.....any was back on subject. I said why don't you try some thing like another ear piercing or eye brow even or get your Monroe done, she says my mom wont let me get one on the face. I was like but she said it was ok for you to get your tongue done. she said yea, well i left it alone. Then i come back on fb and her mom is throwing a bitch fit because i asked why dont she get her lip or eye brow done.....what do you think?

  • At 14, I'd have to say "no" ... maybe at 16 or 17. Personally, as cool as I think they are, I think they would be a nightmare if the kid needed dental work, such as braces or their wisdom teeth cut out.

  • In my house:
You aren't allowed to get anything pierced (ears excluded) until you are out of my house.
And I have my nips, tongue and navel done

Piercing may very well be a fad that will be "out" by the time these kids are able to support themselves. And as I tell the kids, would you really trust a professional with (insert facial piercing here)?

  • I think most places around her won't do the tongue piercing until you're 18. I could be wrong though. I DO know you can't get a tattoo until you're 18, even with parental permission.

  • Oh, and I'd REALLY have to consider letting my child, at 14, get anything other than ears pierced. Thankfully she's only 5 so I've got time to ponder.
