Have you ever read...

Family tree by Barbara Delinsky? Its about a couple, the husband a prominent Lawyer, the wife an interior decorator, just had a baby. The baby came out half black, the wife didnt have an affair, and they are both blonde, blue eyed, white as can be.The mother doesnt know who HER father is, her mother is dead, so maybe the african american gene came from somewhere in her family, because the father of the babys family is a famous rich family, and it CANT be them. The baby test positive for sickle cell, which is common in AA, so the mother gets tested, and its negative, so they test the father, and its positive in him. This book really gets you in touch with your feelings towards other races, and it honestly humbled me. You should all read it, since so much has been going on about race lately.

  • Huh? You must not have read the book Anon, because for one, its a girl, and for 2, the baby is half black, as in its skin color is dark, not "tan" but similar to that of Obama, with African American Textured hair.

  • The baby does have black heritage, but the OP said he was "half Black." To be half black you have to have a black parent. The baby doesn't...he just has a parent that has African blood.

  • i also read the book. it's intresting. but the baby cannot be half black unless mom or dad is all black. the baby just has darker skin because there are black ancestors on her dad's side. make sense?
