does your baby...

Did/does your baby grab a handful of hair and cry because they can't figure out how to let go?

It's my daughter's new thing (she's just over a month old). She reaches up and grabs a strand or two of hair and then starts WAILING because she doesn't know how to let go. Once I force her hand open, she immediately stops crying as if nothing ever happened. It's hilarious. I was just wondering if anyone else's babies did that =]

  • Yep, and wait until they can pull hard enough to hurt.....hence why for the last 10 years my hair was always worn in a pony :).

  • My DD does this, but she doesn't cry. She's just over 2 months old. She grabs my hair, and begins to bounce up and down!! Its crazy! lol. And when I try to open her hand up, she just thinks its the funniest thing! Especially if I'm screaming owwww!! She's a little mess, but I love her! =)

  • My son would pull his own hair all the time! We would always know because the cry was sooo loud! It was so hard to get his litlte fingers uncurled too. He stopped doing it at about 5-6 weeks.

  • My son did this. He would constantly grab his own hair and cry. He never grabbed mine just his own. My daughter on the other hand has never grabbed her own just mine.

  • Lol! Yeah, both my kids did it for about a month, until they figured out how to unclench their hands! Too cute!
