  • Well first you must understand that you need a Savior, from what you say? death and sin.... when God created Adam and Eve they had a full relationship with him and were to live forever with God, but eve ate of the fruit thus bringing death and sin to every human being born, So in order for to have the relationship forever with God, he had to conquer death and die for our sins, he did that through Christ who died for our sins, but was raised from the dead, (thus conquering death) making him our Savior from death and sin.. But first you must recongize the you need to be saved and accept the gift from God which is salvation through Christ. Than you will be saved from death and your sins will be forgiven than you will have eternal life with Christ..

  • I don't think it means anything. I don't believe that someone has to be saved in order to get to heaven.

  • To me it means that you have excepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. One way of doing so is by being Baptized.

  • Agreed with Anon. It does mean that and you are being baptized and "reborn" so to speak as a Christian and agree to live your life accordingly from that point on and turn over all of you troubles to God and to live a Christian lifestyle as God wishes in the Bible.

  • And you do have to be saved to go to Heaven because you have to ASK God to be your Lord and Savior. You can't just be a "good person" and go to Heaven.

  • Being saved is believing that Jesus Christ died on the cross and paid the price for your sins and accepting Him into your life as your Lord and Savior.

  • Acts 2:46-47

46Day by day, as they spent much time together in the temple, they broke bread at home and ate their food with glad and generous hearts, 47praising God and having the goodwill of all the people. And day by day the Lord added to their number those who were being saved.

    Acts 16:31-34

31They answered, "Believe on the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved, you and your household." 32They spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all who were in his house. 33At the same hour of the night he took them and washed their wounds; then he and his entire family were baptized without delay. 34He brought them up into the house and set food before them; and he and his entire household rejoiced that he had become a believer in God.

  • Being saved is accepting Jesus as your savior, that he died for your sins and was resurrected. And being baptized in that belief

  • You must declare that belief. Just "living a good life" and being a "good person" will not get you into

  • 24And the disciples were perplexed at these words. But Jesus said to them again, "Children, how hard it is to enter the kingdom of God! 25 It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for someone who is rich to enter the kingdom of God." 26They were greatly astounded and said to one another, "Then who can be saved?" 27Jesus looked at them and said, "For mortals it is impossible, but not for God; for God all things are possible."
