Whats the next step after finding out you have cysts on your ovaries adult content

I found out in April I had a cyst on my right ovary...6 weeks later had another ultrasound done and that cyst was reabsorbed but I now have multiple cysts on both ovaries....the doctor I was seeing thought I may have Polycystic ovary syndrome and did a ton of lab work, all came back normal. She said she was transferring my information to my OB doctor. I called the clinic less than a week later to find out my doctor was on vacation until today. But I'm wondering if any of you have experienced this and what the next step is in this process while I'm waiting for the doctor to call me back. Any help would be great. Thank you!

  • Most of the time they will put you on birth control,, if you trying to get pregnant, you will have to bypass that,, I get cysts quite a bit,, if they are too painful then the hormonal therapy is about all they can do.

  • My OB said there wasn't a lot they can do. Mine ruptured, and it hurt like hell. It's happened a few times since, and I just deal with it.... I do know someone that had surgery for it, but they always come back, so I didn't take that option.

  • I'm currently on birth control, so I don't think that would change. Mine do get painful at times to the point that I don't want to move, can hardly walk, hunched over in pain pretty much, happens quite a bit when I'm at work. I've also heard of people getting surgery and I don't think I would want that option either. Thanks!

  • Mine ruptured too and I was eventually was put on Lupron because I had bad endometriosis too.  I didn't have any cysts during my Lupron treatment (6 months) but a month after treatment they came back with a vengeance.  I did end up having to get a hysterectomy, but It was because I was done having children and it was the best thing.

  • I get them a lot as well. I have been on and off BC pills since I was 13 for them. I have had about 5 of them surgically removed b/c they were really large and continuing to grow. Depending on your situation, there area a few methods of treatment. Good luck!!!
