Could my three month old be teething?

I know three months is a little early for a baby to start teething, but is it possible? My little one is very fussy, doesn't want to eat, and he looks a little flushed. He is also having a hard time keeping his food down. I checked his temperature and it is normal. I can see a little tooth coming in. Could he be sick? Or does it sound like he is teething?

  • I would say he certainly could be teething. If he's not fussy and irritable, I would hold off on the tylenol. He'll eat when he's hungry. If he's sleeping ok and acting ok, he probably feels ok. However, if he has turned from your sweet little baby into some kind of small demonic being, then yes, get the tylenol, he's in pain!

  • My son started teething around then, it is very possible he is teething. Have you tried giving him a cold teething ring? My little guy loves those when teeth are coming in.

  • Thanks for the suggestions apeclarck2008. I never thought about giving him a rag. I bet it will be much easier for him to hold on to. I tried the tylenol...
