  • I'm not in the medical field, but I am thinking not. The tissues have to be effaced and there has to be dilation, neither of these will happen with jumping. What will happen is the tissues and muscle supporting the uterus will be further stressed. And probably the mom would wet herself. :)

  • I don't know but it doesn't seem like a very SMART thing to do.

  • the only reason im asking is my sister said with her son (she was diltated and effaced)
that she jumped off a chair and ran up and down the stairs
    so i was like ok???
she siad it was wut put her in to labor
    and wanted to ask

  • I think it is the physical activity involved not the act of jumping itself. Like they tell you to walk. Well run, jump, roll, walk...anything requires movement but short of medical intervention there isn't much that can get them out of there before they are ready to leave....
